OUR PHILOSOPHY

At French à la Carte, the emphasis is placed on speaking and understanding the language with the right balance of fluency and accuracy.

Our General French classes consist of expression and comprehension activities with relevant grammar and vocabulary exercises to learn all there is to know about French in all 4 competences: reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Most importantly, we promote learning by tying in practical as well as cultural aspects of life in a French-speaking country. Progression is tailored to the level and interests of the group being taught.

OUR LEVELS

We currently offer more than 30 group classes of all levels, from complete beginners to very advanced.

We follow the CEFR level system to determine our class levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

Our Beginner to Intermediate classes (A1, A2 and B1) use the textbook Prêt-à-Parler.

For the B2-Advanced and C1-Fluency levels, the teacher provides material suitable to the level, usually following the news and the group's interests.

We will help you find a suitable class depending on your current level of French and your availability.
