French Immersions

Experience French culture firsthand with our immersion days or weeks, held both in Australia and overseas.

Whether we're uncovering a taste of France in scenic locations around Sydney, like Bowral, the Hunter Valley or the Blue Mountains, or venturing to breathtaking destinations in France such as the Basque Country, Burgundy and Provence, these immersions offer the authentic French experience. 

What to expect of our French Immersions?

Get ready to practise your French like never before. In our immersions, French is the only language spoken throughout your stay. It might feel a bit daunting at first, but you’ll find quickly that it gets easier and easier, leading to significant progress in both speaking and understanding.

During the immersion, the mornings usually consist of classes and the afternoons of French cultural activities, all while continuing to speak French. The classes are led by qualified native French teachers, ensuring you learn French correctly.

Every night we have dinner together. Afterwards there are optional activities, such as card games and fireplace chats. Lifelong friendships are often made on these trips!

Accommodation is arranged in hotels, with options for individual rooms or shared rooms for those travelling with a friend or partner.

Please note that all participants in the immersion, including partners, must speak French only throughout the entire stay.

Our immersions typically divide participants into two groups based on their levels: Intermediate and Advanced. Each group can accommodate up to 20 participants, with one or two French à la Carte teacher(s) accompanying each group.

Everyone is welcome to join our immersions, whether they have been students with us or not. Come and join the best French Community in Sydney (and Australia)!

For non French à la Carte students, we’ll assess if your level of French is sufficient to participate in the immersion before confirming your booking.
